RiverStreet is working together with state and local officials across Charlotte County, VA to make high-speed Internet a reality for the community. Using capital funds as well as grant funds from Charlotte County, the Virginia Telecommunication Initiative (VATI), the FCC Connect America Fund (CAF) II program, the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, RiverStreet is focused on building a reliable, future-proof network covering 650 miles and reaching over 7,000 homes and businesses with fiber Internet.
The progress is already visible: As of spring 2026, close to 1,300 homes and businesses have been connected.
