High School Scholarship Program
Each year, RiverStreet invests in the future leaders of our communities by awarding scholarships to numerous high school seniors across our serving areas.
About the Program
In 2008, Wilkes Communications (RiverStreet) established a scholarship program to support high school graduates throughout the service area. Each spring, the Scholarship Selection Committee reviews applications and awards scholarships to commendable graduates furthering their educational journey. Since the program began we have proudly awarded more than $400,000 to over 400 seniors.
Disclaimer: The Scholarship disbursement will be paid directly to the college or university according to the institution’s payment policy, after RiverStreet receives a letter from the recipient confirming his/her enrollment. The scholarship must be utilized within one year.
RiverStreet is a Proud Member of NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association
As a member of the NTCA we are also proud advocates of the Foundation For Rural Service (FRS) youth Program. The FRS provides scholarships, a Youth Tour, and a number of other programs to help invest in the next generation of leaders and citizens.
