BEAD Implementation Summit

We are excited to share that Greg Coltrain, our VP of Business Development, and Rob Taylor, our Director of Business Development & Government Affairs, recently had the opportunity to spend some valuable time in Washington, D.C. discussing topics around broadband projects in Virginia.

During their visit, they had the privilege of meeting and engaging in conversations with some of our dedicated lawmakers, including Congressman Whitman, Senator Kain, and Senator Warner. We are committed to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all unserved and underserved areas have access to high-speed Internet.

Additionally, Greg and Rob attended the The BEAD Implementation Summit, an inaugural event from the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is designed to bring together government and industry leaders to discuss the program requirements and various network technologies and architectures. The Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program provides $42.5 billion dollar Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment initiative on the horizon, state broadband offices are working to prepare their five-year plans. This summit provided a platform to discuss challenges, controversies, and innovative solutions surrounding this historic push for universal high-speed connectivity.

The future of broadband development in Virginia is looking bright, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of these efforts. Together, we can make sure no one gets left behind in the digital age.
