RiverStreet is working together with state and local officials across Pittsylvania County, VA to make high-speed Internet a reality for the community. Using capital funds as well as grant funds from Pittsylvania County, the Virginia Telecommunication Initiative (VATI), the FCC Connect America Fund (CAF) and CAF II program, the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, RiverStreet plans to reach around 30,300 locations with fiber Internet.
The progress is already visible: As of spring 2026, over 1900 homes and businesses in Pittsylvania County have already been connected to our fiber network.
