RiverStreet at Central Wilkes Middle Mock Interview Day
At RiverStreet, we are passionate about preparing the next generation for the professional world. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to join other local businesses by stepping into the halls of Central Wilkes Middle School for their 8th Grade Mock Interview Day.
The goal of the day was simple yet vital: provide students with a realistic preview of what a job interview feels like. We sat down with several bright, ambitious 8th graders to discuss their interests, their goals, and their potential career paths. To say we were impressed would be an understatement.
“The level of maturity we saw today was inspiring. These students weren’t just prepared; they were confident, articulate, and exceptionally respectful.” -W. Scott
Future Professionals in the Making Walking into an interview can be nerve-wracking even for adults, but these students handled the pressure with grace. We witnessed firm handshakes, consistent eye contact, and thoughtful answers that showed a real depth of character. It is clear that the future workforce in Wilkes County is in very capable hands.
A Special Thank You to Ms. Colglazier Success like this doesn’t happen by accident. We want to extend a massive thank you to Ms. Colglazier for inviting RiverStreet to participate. Her dedication to her students is evident in how well-prepared they were for this challenge. She provided them with the tools and the confidence to present their best selves, and it was a privilege to see her hard work come to life through the students’ performance.
A Heartwarming Gesture The day concluded on a high note that truly touched our hearts. As a token of their appreciation, the students presented us with beautiful flowers and handwritten thank-you cards. These personal touches mean the world to us and serve as a wonderful reminder of why we love being involved in our local schools.
Thank you, Central Wilkes Middle, for a fantastic day. We can’t wait to see where these students go next!
