Supporting the Wilkes Early College Science Olympiad Team
At our core, we believe that investing in our youth is an investment in the future of our community. This past season, we had the distinct pleasure of sponsoring the Wilkes Early College High School (WECHS) Science Olympiad team. We are thrilled to share the incredible successes these talented students achieved!
Season Highlights
- Regional Success: The team brought home medals in 5 different events.
- Champions: 4 students achieved 1st Place Overall at the Regional level.
- State Bound: 4 students qualified for and competed at the State Competition in Raleigh.
- State Rankings: Our students excelled on the big stage, securing two 9th-place medals and two 14th-place finishes.
Receiving a package of handwritten thank-you notes from the students was the highlight of our week. We are incredibly proud of these young leaders and honored to play a part in their STEM journey here in Wilkes!
